TOPIC: Legislative & Funding Issues

Presented by: State Rep. Jennifer Benson.

Rep Benson will address funding, possible changes to special education funding, and other issues impacting education. Rep. Benson has submitted a bill to create a study to investigate the possibility of altering special education funding. Your input and questions welcome!

This bill would take the burden off of districts to pay for high cost special education students and would make it easier for families because they wouldn't have to transition from agency to agency and worry about continuity of care.

Rep Benson was on the school committee in Lunenburg for 6 years, bringing with her other insights into special education.
