Understanding Your Special Education Basic Rights - January 14th. The Lincoln, Sudbury & Maynard Special Education Advisory Councils invite you to attend this Basic Rights workshop presented by Kathy Bach from the Federation for Children with Special Needs. The workshop will be held on Monday, Jan. 14th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in Conference Room B, located at 390 Lincoln Road in Sudbury. Come and discover how to be an effective partner with your school. Understanding your basic rights will provide you with information on your rights and responsibilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Massachusetts Special Education Law and No Child Left Behind (NCLB). You will also learn about the eligibility process, how to plan, and make decisions and to monitor the progress of your child. IEPs will also be discussed.
