Developing Cognitive Skills to Ensure Math Success - The speaker is Dr. David Stevens. Dr. David Stevens is the Executive Director of the Cognitive Development
Center of Lexington and a Co-Founder of Symphony Learning. David is a Developmental Psychologist and Cognitive Scientist who has dedicated his career to the study, design, implementation and evaluation of interventions that improve cognitive abilities. He is the designer of three educational software programs; Lexia Cross-Trainer Visual Spatial, Lexia Cross-Trainer Logical Reasoning, and Symphony Math. His research and technology design efforts have been supported by two million dollars in federal funding. David is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Cognitive Science Society, and the American Educational Research Association.This presentation is part of the Carroll School's 2007-2008 Speaker Series.
