Nashoba SpEd PAC

Wednesday, March 19th 7:15 pm (next week)
 Location: Nashoba Regional HS in the Academic Support Center.

Transitions: The evening is geared towards parents of children making one of the following transitions. Select from one of these 3 separate sessions:

  • Early Intervention to Preschool - Presenter: Alex Chatfield, Early Intervention
  • Middle School to High School – What about transitions to any school?  Wondering what the Minuteman Regional HS has to offer?  Is this a reasonable option for your child?    Will Verbits, director of Special Education at Minuteman Regional HS, will describe Minuteman’s program offerings, schedule for all students as well as  the transition process, programs and services for special needs students. This is an excellent opportunity for parents of 6th, 7th and 8th graders to find out about the after school programs and HS options at Minuteman. 
  • High School to Adult Services (Turning 22) – Presenter: Barton Price, Dept of Mental Retardation. Gail Palm, a NRSD parent whose daughter is 22 and has been through the process, will join in the presentation to provide the family perspective.
