Surviving and Thriving in Challenging Times by Dr. Robert Evans - When
financial and other pressures force major changes in schools, everyone is
affected: educators, parents, and students alike. How can a community make the
best of such challenges? How can individuals at all levels cope and help one
another cope? Robert Evans will explore these and other issues and outline
practical, realistic ways to sustain energy, morale, support, and skill. Dr.
Robert Evans is a clinical and organizational psychologist and the author of two
books, The Human Side of School Change and Family Matters: How Schools Can Cope
with The Crisis in Childrearing. Dr. Evans received his undergraduate degree
from Princeton and his doctorate from Harvard. This event is opened to the
public at no cost and is funded by SEABoard, the Swampscott Special Education
Advisory Board. It will take place on Thursday, September 27 at 7:00 PM in the
Swampscott High School Auditorium. For more information contact Jenn Nisbet at
