Nashoba
Regional SpEd PAC meeting
Thursday evening, 7pm, May 17th
Come learn about building bridges between home and school at the
SpED PAC meeting. Find out how to
advocate for your own child without tension and conflict. Develop a deeper
understanding of the IEP or 504 process and learn how to empower yourself
and your child. Workshop leader Barbara
Rich, M.Ed. is the former Director of Special Education for the
Tyngsboro Public Schools and Nantucket Public Schools and has been a
professional Special Education advocate and consultant since 1998. She
received her training at The Federation for Children with Special Needs. She
lives in Groton, is a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher, and the grandmother of
9 grandchildren.
It’s the last SpED PAC
meeting of the year. The SpED PAC is being re-vitalized and invites members
to participate in a survey about SpED PAC and topics for future meetings.
Tracy Conte was appointed Special Education Director by the School
Committee last week and will attend the meeting.
