Educator’s Conference – Teaching Students with Asperger Syndrome – The Asperger’s Association of New England (AANE) presents: “Middle and High School Classroom Teachers Conference on Differentiated Instruction and the Student with Asperger Syndrome.” The conference will be held November 15, 2006 at Bentley College ~ Waltham, MA 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Bookstore open until 4:00) (8-8:30 a.m. Registration & Coffee) Information/Registration: Call (617) 393-3824 or Log on to: www.aane.org Conference Presenters will be: Judy Gooen, M.S. OTR/L ~ Dot Lucci, M.Ed., C.A.G.S. Peg Mongiello, M.A. ~ Judy Robinson, M.A. Teachers are faced with the challenge of teaching a classroom with a diverse group of students with many individual needs. This conference will help teachers learn a framework that will address the needs of all students’ learning styles, including students with Asperger Syndrome. Conference Objectives: 1) Learn about Differentiated Instruction; 2) Learn how to apply this concept to the students in your class who have AS; 3) Leave with concrete strategies you can use in your classroom tomorrow. Conference is designed for middle and high school teachers of English, Math, Science, History, Social Studies, Foreign Languages, Special Education, and Unified Arts. The seminar fee is $125 for AANE members and $170 for non-members (includes 1-year membership to AANE). Seminar fee includes AM coffee & lunch. PDPs available for this conference.
